This Netalics policy brief examines how civil society, UN agencies, and humanitarian actors in Yemen are discussed, contested, and securitized on X. Covering February 2014–April 2026, the brief shows how the Arabic term منظمات — commonly used to refer broadly to NGOs, UN agencies, humanitarian actors, and donor-backed projects — can carry a negative connotation in parts of Yemen-related online discourse, becoming shorthand for suspicion. Through temporal network analysis and close discourse analysis, the brief maps the major thematic clusters shaping the conversation and offers a deeper understanding of how organizations in Yemen become reference points in wider struggles over legitimacy, responsibility, neutrality, foreign influence, and public trust.
